DESCRIPTION
The Yorkshire Terrier was born in the mills and mines of nineteenth-century northern England, bred by weavers and miners to hunt the rats that ran through the factory floors. Small enough to slip into any corner, quick enough to catch anything, it did the work of a dog many times its size.
Then it climbed. By the late Victorian era the ratter of the working north had become the jewel of the drawing room, carried by fashionable ladies and shown with a floor-length coat of steel blue and tan. Huddersfield Ben, the founding sire of the breed, fixed its type in the 1860s, and the Yorkshire has been turning heads ever since. A terrier's heart in a silk-spun frame.
The Yorkshire edition honours both sides of that story. A charcoal grey linen cover, the breed's fine silken coat and bright, knowing eyes rendered through extreme macro photography, every strand caught like thread on a loom. Bold, elegant, and entirely sure of itself, exactly like the dog.
