HUSKY

The Siberian Husky was bred over three thousand years by the Chukchi people of the Russian Far East, who needed a dog capable of pulling sleds across the frozen tundra and surviving conditions no other breed could endure. The result is a creature engineered for the limits of the world, built for cold, beauty, and endurance in equal measure.

Husky teams carried the diphtheria serum across Alaska in the legendary 1925 Nome Serum Run, the inspiration for the statue of Balto that still stands in Central Park. The breed has been adopted by polar explorers, by the cast of Game of Thrones, by Ben Stiller and Kelly Osbourne. Anyone, in short, drawn to the romance of the wolf without the inconvenience of one.
