DOG COLLECTION
DOBERMAN
DESCRIPTION
The Doberman Pinscher was born in 1890s Germany, conceived by tax collector Louis Dobermann who sought a vigilant companion for his rounds. From this practical origin emerged one of the most architecturally striking breeds in canine history, sleek, intelligent, and bearing an air of disciplined sovereignty unmatched in the animal kingdom.
The breed has guarded presidents and adorned the silhouettes of Helmut Newton's most legendary photographs, where it appeared alongside Charlotte Rampling and Grace Jones as the ultimate emblem of modernist glamour. Mario Testino, Tom Ford, and a generation of fashion editors have returned again and again to the Doberman as muse, a creature whose lines feel less bred than designed.
The Doberman edition opens the REMUS Collection with authority. A fuchsia silk hardcover against the deep contrast of black and tan fur, extreme macro photography reveals the breed in a way never seen before, transforming each gleaming hair into a study of tension and elegance. A tribute to the most modernist of dogs.
