CAT COLLECTION
SCOTTISH FOLD
DESCRIPTION
The Scottish Fold traces every example of itself back to a single white barn cat named Susie, born in 1961 on a farm in Coupar Angus, Scotland. A spontaneous genetic mutation gave Susie her distinctive folded ears, and from that one moment of natural happenstance descends every Scottish Fold alive today, a breed whose entire existence is a single, perfectly preserved accident of grace.
Taylor Swift adopted the Scottish Fold into the global imagination through her famous companions Meredith and Olivia, but the breed had long been beloved by collectors and quiet houses across Europe and Japan. Its rounded silhouette and owlish expression have inspired generations of illustrators, fashion editors, and stylists searching for the perfect feline aesthetic.
The Scottish Fold edition is the most sculptural in the REMUS Collection. A muted artichoke linen cover, the breed's dense plush coat reimagined through extreme macro photography, every soft cushion of fur rendered as topography, every folded ear a small architectural moment. A tribute to the cat the world fell for entirely by chance.
