HUSKY

The Siberian Husky was bred over three thousand years by the Chukchi people of the Russian Far East, who needed a dog capable of pulling sleds across the frozen tundra and surviving conditions no other breed could endure. The result is a creature engineered for the limits of the world, built for cold, beauty, and endurance in equal measure.

Husky teams carried the diphtheria serum across Alaska in the legendary 1925 Nome Serum Run, the inspiration for the statue of Balto that still stands in Central Park. Since then the breed has followed polar explorers to the ends of the earth and become one of the most photographed dogs of the internet age, the choice of anyone drawn to the romance of the wolf without the inconvenience of one.
