DESCRIPTION
Every German Shepherd alive traces back to one dog. In 1899 Max von Stephanitz saw a working sheepdog named Horand von Grafrath at a show, bought him on the spot, and founded a breed on him with the conviction of a man building an institution rather than a bloodline. He was right. Within a generation the German Shepherd had become the most functional dog ever conceived.
Then came Rin Tin Tin, pulled from a bombed French kennel in 1918 by an American soldier and carried home to become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, at a moment when the studio he saved was barely standing. Since then the breed has worked every border, every disaster site, every police force on earth, and remained the dog civilisation calls when it needs something done properly.
The German Shepherd edition is the most vigilant in the REMUS Collection. A khaki linen cover, the breed's celebrated black and tan double coat reimagined through extreme macro photography, every guard hair rendered with the exactness of a working animal at attention, every sable gradient a small act of discipline. A tribute to the dog that was designed, and never needed redesigning.
