DESCRIPTION

The Corgi is a herding dog in the body of a footstool, bred in Wales to drive cattle by nipping at their heels and ducking the kicks, a job that shaped its low, long, fearless silhouette. Welsh legend tells it differently: the Corgi, they say, was the mount of the fairies, and the pale markings across its shoulders are the saddle they left behind.

No dog has been more royal. Queen Elizabeth II kept more than thirty Corgis across her reign, beginning with Susan in 1944, and they became inseparable from her image, trotting through Buckingham Palace, opening the London Olympics beside her, and outliving her as the most recognisable dogs in the world. From the Welsh hills to the internet age, the Corgi has never once behaved like a small dog.

The Corgi edition is the most spirited in the REMUS Collection. A camel linen cover, the breed's dense double coat reimagined through extreme macro photography, every short weatherproof hair and every fox-bright marking caught in soft light. A tribute to the little herder that ruled a palace.
